Hays Logistics is negotiating with "more than one" potential suitor in its continuing efforts to find a buyer, a spokesman for the company said this week.
The spokesman would not name the prospective buyers, but analysts suggest that Tibbett & Britten and Deutsche Post are interested.
The logistics division is one of several parts of the Hays group that the company says it wants to sell off. Last week it confirmed that its Information Management Services (IMS) has been sold for £200m to US-based Iron Mountain.
The deal is the first part of a major overhaul of the group, which is intended to leave it to concentrate on its staff recruitment business. Hays shares have fallen from just under £5 at the start of 2000 to loss than It for most of this year. However, on Tuesday this week, the shares were trading between 100p and 105p.
