DON-BUR (Bodies and Trailers) has supplied 10 lightweight curtain sided semi-trailers fitted with SAF air suspension to soft drinks manufacturer Corona.
Designed to carry palletised products, the tri-axle trailers have an unladen weight of 5.37 tonnes, and offer a payload potential of over 26.5 tonnes (depending on the tractive unit), running at 38 tonnes.
They are manufactured with an aluminium/steel composite chassis, and have main frame members of fabricated I beam sections made from 130 x 10mm (51/8x3/ain) BS grade 50B high tensile steel, which is used on the top and bottom flanges with mild steel webs.
Chassis crossbearers are lightweight alloy J section, with alloy extrusion side raves.
The SAF tri-axle bogie uses SAF AR413 air suspension, and landing legs are Jost E200 units with rubber cushioned flat feet.
Girling Skidcheck anti-lock braking is fitted to all the trailers, which also have Anchorlok autohandbrake units fitted to the first and third axles on the bogie.
