The cosmetic retailer was expecting a visit from ecoconscious Prince Charles and indulged in a little environmental cosmetics of its own by erecting a dummy fleet of lorries in front of some unsightly wasteland adjacent to its West Sussex site, The fully-liveried plywood cutouts hid an eyesore of tumble down greenhouses and abandoned vehicles, not fit for princely eyes. The "lorries", said to have been a snip at £15,000. might well have fooled the royal party.
In any case, the twodimensional fleet will remain in place to enhance the view for less prestigious visitors.
