I READ WITH interest the story 'MAN fleet for MoD' (CM 26 April) in which a claim is made that this contract will be providing -the MoD's first Euro-4 vehicles". I beg to differ.
In the autumn of 2004. the Airfield Vehicles Branch (AVB) at RAF Brampton in Cambridgeshire awarded a contract to Fluid 'Transfer International to supply a Large Capacity Aircraft Refuelling System (LCARS) on MAN chassis to Euro-4 spec.
Deliveries of these vehicles began in August 2005.
The AVB has now merged with the Aircraft Support Integrated Project Team at RAE Wyton and, in all probability, this department
