Top Oil. An 11.5m round main section is linked by a short collar to a specially rolled front end with rounded top and elliptical bottom profiles. With only two central welds, heavy-duty baffles, the extra front-end volume places more weight on the drive axles. It weighs around 5.2 tonnes, even on a single leg, but with standard axles and 19.5in discs the design goes below 5.0 tonnes for German users. Rohr's Nico Brombels argues that German operators never leave full tankers standing, so one leg is adequate.
