This was said by the NorlerrtiLicensing Authority, m Foster, at Newcastlepon-Tvne on November 6 hen he turned down an veal by T. F. Cousins of St swald Court, Felling, against decision refusing to renew is hgv driving licence.

The refusal had been based n his record of convictions, icluding two for drinking and rivihg and two for driving while disqualified. Mr Cousins had been disqualified for a total period of four and a half years.

J. Foley, for Mr Cousins, pointed out that when he last appeared before the Magistrates on Max' 11, they decided on hardship grounds not to disqualify him further as this would prevent him from following his occupation.
