FIVE general managers have been selected to run the new operating companies being created next year by the Scottish Bus Group.
Clydeside Scottish, the new Renfrewshire and Bute company, will be run by Western SMT traffic manager George Watson, who held a post with Strathclyde PTE before that.
Kelvin Scottish, the new Dunbartonshire and North Glasgow company, will be run by Brian Cox, the Scottish Transport Group's group planning manager. He has been one of SBG's stategists for life after deregulation.
Lowland Scottish, the Borders and East Lothian company, will be run by Derek Stuart, currently traffic manager with Eastern Scottish.
The Strathtay Scottish company, serving Tayside Region, will be managed by Andrew Gall, SBG's regional co-ordination executive. His post at present is as linkman with the nine regional councils.
The as-yet un-named coaching company (see p18) is to be run by express and holidays manager Alan Wilson.
