RE: DRIVER CPC. The option of accessing quality training through a consortium and then delivering it with in-house instructors is the most eficient option for a haulier with more than 50 drivers.
We’ve seen a few clients join our consortium after working with JAUPT and that’s because accessing our programmes is easier than having to produce your own. Many hauliers will have written a course for year one, but it will get harder for them to write more. We see a switch to consortia as a better option as operators will have more meaningful content, training materials and a better output. Furthermore, operators would see more of a return on their training investment.
Even irms with a good training department aren’t that good at producing their own content, so they know the beneit of letting the experts do it. There are several JAUPT-approved training centres, but I believe that igure will fall and we will see more consortia formed. It’s a challenge for the training industry, but it’s the best way forward for businesses. Paul Spink Commercial director System Training
