Primarily designed for elevating loads from the ground to the level of a first floor, the Hydro-Lift, made by the Spenborough Engineering Co., Ltd., Union Road, Heckmondwike, can also he used as a crane for the removal of engines from chassis. It can be supplied at £150 with a .1i h.p. electric motor or at £120 with a manually operated hydraulic pump.
The capacity of the machine is 71 cwt, and a load can be raised 12 ft, in 30 seconds. The closed height is 8 ft. 2 ins, and the platform measures 4 ft. by 3 ft. A valve control allows the platform to be held in any position.
