• Ejector and tipping trailer manufacturer EuroEjectors has collaborated with Bywaters (Leyton) to develop an automatic one-piece sheeting system for rigids and trailers. The K2 is claimed to cover a 13.6m semi-trailer within 30 seconds. It is powered via the ejector hydraulics; its controls are mounted with those of the ejector plate and tailgate near the front off-side corner.
Equipping a trailer costs 23,400, or £2,600 for an eightlegger; the system can be fitted new or retrofitted.
EuroEjectors has also developed an on-board hydraulic fault diagnostic device. If a problem arises the driver con obtain pressure readings and relay them back to base.
