Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

With reference to your Comment last week (CM 10-16 Sept) about how the PTA and RI-IA should join forces, I can't help wondering why on earth they should really think seriously of doing so.

You're right, of course, to suggest they'd do a lot more good for the industry that way, but isn't it a bit like asking Mercedes-Benz and Iveco Ford to get together and share their technology for the sake of the consumer? Or even like asking for the many and varied transport shows to merge so we don't have to go to half a dozen different events every spring? Hardly very likely! Peter Joblonski, Marne, Oxon.
