Selector guide
Molykote has produced a guide to its principal high-duty lubricants in the form of a rotating disc selector. The selector, laminated and printed in three colours, is believed to be the first of its kind for conveying information on technical products.
In easy-to-use compact form the selector contains as much information as was previously spread over five large pages of small type and tabulation. The system used enables technical data on any product to be pinpointed and isolated in a few seconds. A considerable amount of information on 21 selected products covers such items as temperature range, applicational method, density, viscosity. consistency. coverage, dilutent, flash point and wear endurance. By means of red and blue colour coding, a product's suitability for any of 13 uses and six special environment classifications can be quickly found.
In addition to technical data on the products, the selector gives much helpful information on the advantages and application of Molykote lubricants.

Proofing process
The Whaley Bridge Proofing Co. Ltd., which specializes in protecting fibrous materials against rot, water, fire and other hazards, has developed a lowcost proofing process named New Bejan. Materials protected with the process are rot-proof and safe against attack by termites; they also have some protection against water.
The process can be used for many types of goods in jute or cotton including ropes, industrial thread and sacks. The company has applied the process on a large scale to coal bags.
Proofing by New Bejan is lower in cost than standard processes, such as treatment with L.P.C.P. It utilizes a spirit blended from copper napthenate, but the process does not impart the characteristic blue finish associated with "copper nap". It tends rather to darken the original colour of the item being proofed.
The sUrface texture after proofing with New Bejan is smoother than that obwith copper napthenate. of the advantages found treating industrial sew:ad is free running in the e.) company is equipped to small orders or bulk g contracts as required.
