THE GO-AHEAD has been given by the Greater London Council for an £8.3m scheme to avoid a major traffic bottleneck in North-west London.
Roxborough Bridge, Harrow, is to be almost doubled in width and a new bridge is to be built alongside. Roundabouts are to be constructed at either end of the bridge to replace the present traffic lights and a new link road will also be built between the northern roundabout and Headstone Road.
It will eventually join with the proposed Northern Link Road.
