• Private parcel firms could soon be allowed to use the Royal Mail's network for a fee, under plans being considered by the Post Office.
This would allow large courier companies such as TNT or Federal Express to send consignments through the Post Office system. Several parcels firms, including TNT, have long called for an end to the Post Office's letters monopoly.
