David Norbury, Thomas Meadows and Co Ltd's Norwich office, is moving to Tokyo to become Japanese manager of AFA-Meadowsfreight. He replaces Nigel Hawkins, who has moved to an Australian post with AFA.
The National Coal Board has made J. A. Clarke its Western area fleet engineer with responsibility for over 600 vehicles. He joined NCB's North Wales Area in 1964, moved to Staffordshire in 1968, and was one of two Western area engineers after the Staffordshire and North Western areas were merged.

Alexander (Fife) stores controller William Kilpatrick has retired after 50 years in the bus industry. He held the post for 30 years, and worked with pioneer Fife operators before that.
