DHL signs £40m Telefónica UK delivery contract

DHL SUPPLY CHAIN has signed a three-year, £40m contract extension with Telefónica UK – which runs mobile phone network o2.
The logistics giant will distribute mobile devices, SIM cards, modems and other accessories for o2 as well as providing a custom packaging service and, for the irst time, a reverse logistics service for returns and recycling will run as part of the contract.
Nick Lefever, head of business operations at Telefónica UK, says: “The range of innovative services that DHL has implemented and its clear understanding of our company objectives were key to our extending the contract.” Paul Richardson, MD of fashion at DHL Supply Chain, adds: “We’re delighted to extend our relationship with Telefónica. The natural cultural it between our organisations and shared objectives have been crucial to the success of the partnership.”
