• The European Commission has told the UK Government to postpone its planned imposition of compulsory Single Vehicle Approval on cars and vans imported from outside the EU.
It was also proposed that from 1 January individuals wishing to import such vehicles to the UK would be able to do so without visiting the country of export and that independent dealers would be able to import and sell non-European vehicles. This has now been deferred until 1 May.
