• International operator GB Express has bought 62 Seddon Atkinson Strato tractive units, comprising a mixture of 4x2 and 6x2 chassis with 340hp and 380hp Cummins MI 1 engines and Eaton synchromesh gearboxes. Alloy wheels and air management kits have been fitted throughout.
The order came about through Seddon's parent Iveco, which suggested the Strata as most suitable for GB's requirements: "The Strato weighs in at 6.6 tonnes and, when used with one of our lightweight aluminium chassis trailers, gives a payload of 25.5 tonnes," says GBE chairman Jeff Duval.
