• French transport giant Norbert Dentressangle has boosted its turnover by 30% to £451m over the past year, according to financial results which are due to be be published in full next month.
The group's logistics division was its star performer, growing by 146% on the previous year as ND moved into new sectors such as toys and textiles.
Increased groupage and international traffic contributed to a 16% expansion in the transport sector.
The increased turnover was also aided by ND's acquisition last year of French companies Seroul and Mani.
Norbert Dentressangle UK's contribution to the group's turnover and profits will be revealed on 11 March when the group's full financial results are published.
