PLAN to predetermine sering costs on the Volvo cks sold by Lancashire lck Distributors Ltd of rerpool was announced this ek. Trucplan, as the scheme called, is said to enable ?.rators to accurately plan vicing costs over a 1,000km (100,000 mile) .iod.
For an F86 tractive unit :luding chassis-cab, fiftheel, headboard, spare wheel d carrier, painting and a .tcher tank and the manuAurers' recommended ser vicing over the 100,000-mile period the costs would be 12,520 (including £1,001.60 VAT) less any trade-in allowance. The payments would be broken down to E4,221.60 and 36 monthly payments of £339.73.
A Volvo F88 tractive unit to the same specification would cost £14.951 (including £1,196 VAT) with a deposit of £4,497 and 36 payments of £409.14.
The scheme can be extended beyond 100,000 miles for a surcharge of 10p per mile.
