investigating the murder of a prostitute want to identify a white lorry seen in the red-light district on the night she disappeared.
The truck's description is sketchy, but it was definitely white with no markings. One witness said it had "bright lights down one side".
It was seen kerb-crawling along St Luke's Street—prostitute Hayley Morgan's usual patch—at 00:30hrs on Wednesday, 27 May.
The lorry parked there for a short time, then travelled along Midland Street, Osborne Street and Ferensway before heading towards Hull Docks and Marina.
Morgan was last seen on St Luke's Street. Her partly clothed body was found in an alleyway between Beech Grove and Ash Grove; she had been suffocated.
Detective Superintendent Quentin Dowse says: "We've been given details of plenty of vehicles, and the lorry cropped up several times. We know that lorries, both British and foreign, do visit the red light area of Hull. Some of the drivers may use prostitutes, but many may be in the area innocently. Either way, we would like to speak to them."
