Road rage can be sparked by the music in your stereo, according to the RAC.
"In general, if the music is above 60 beats per minute, listeners experience a faster heart rate and increased blood pressure," says RAC psychologist Conrad King. But he adds that slower classical music, with its complicated note patterns and "repetitive crescendo and diminuendo" can be as much of a culprit as vehicle-shaking dance music. "There is no fundamental difference between the boy racer listening to rave music and the sophisticate pumping out opera," adds King. "When you have Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries coming out of the speakers, heaven help anyone who gets in your way."
