something about Chris Curzon saying British trailers are the best in the world. That's a generalisation, and it's debatable.
But as a truck driver myself, I can't understand why the manufacturers don't get rid of the ridiculous loadsecuring hooks on trailers and replace them with a continuous bar system like they have in Australia, New Zealand and America.
You cannot attach anything to these hooks without them bending, and if there are no special attachments for chains you have to crawl around looking for a fastening under the trailer.
This also means that if a chain comes loose it will fall off on the road. With the bar system, you can tie chains, ropes or straps to them without them bending.
