PricewaterhouseCoopers, the appointed administrator, has also withdrawn the manufacturer's warranties, adding to further concerns on delivering customer support. "There are also worries over staff facing redundancy," Lewis adds.
He believes the majority of the 132 dealers have other franchises, so while it's difficult, it's unlikely anyone will be put out of business. "For most dealerships it is not their core business, it gives them time to look at other van franchises," Lewis says.
Multipart Solutions, which provides OE LDV and VANfit parts to LDV dealerships, assures operators that supply is not affected by the van-maker's administration. •
