ADMINISTRATOR GRANT Thornton has secured a buyer for the waste management operation of collapsed haulier EH Lee, after the firm went intb administration last month,
The Palletways member collapsed on 4 February owing approximately E500,000 to creditors.
EH Lee's Peterborough HQ specialised in waste management for local industrial companies, while its other depots in Doncaster, South Yorks and Lincoln handled its Palletways business. While unable to reveal the name of the buyer, Ian Carr, a partner and head of Grant Thornton's haulage and logistics division, confirms that a purchaser has been found for the Peterborough waste management business. "Three employees involved with the waste management business are being kept on," he adds.
The Doncaster and Lincoln sites have been closed, with the firm's remaining 68 staff made redundant.
