OVERNIGHT specialist Systematic Logistics international is to take delivery of several new MAN trucks to cover its expanding national and international customer base.
Four 18-tonne MANS will be added, increasing the company's fleet to 21. The new units have been specified with streamlined roofs to improve aerody namics and fuel efficiency, and have connection points installed for iPhones, which will be used by the drivers as PDAs. The company also hopes the more streamfined bodies will reduce the damage caused to trees when delivering on smaller country routes.
Colchester, Essex-based Systematic Logistics, a Palletways member, is also looking to increase its carrying capacity and productivity by replacing all of its 7.5-tonne vehicles with new Isuzu 12-tonne units.
Andrew Triolo, MD of Systematic Logistics, says: "Not only will the improvement in our vehicle fleet allow us to continue to develop our business via the Palietways network, but will also enable us to maintain the leading-edge service that we provide to our customers as we grow."
