A NEW articulated Volvo has joined the previously all-DAF fleet of Britannia Movers International, as part of an investment in its longdistance haulage operations.
The FM 6x2 rigid, which is currently being, used for private removals in the UK and mainland Europe, will eventually work exclusively between its Exeter depot and Germany-, leading the firm to specify a number of enhanced
long-distance haulage options.
The 380-hp FM is equipped with a 630-litre fuel tank for a range of over 1,000 miles and has been specified with Volvo's 1-Shift automatic gearbox.
Britannia Lanes co-director Rob Lane, who oversees the depot where the new truck will be based, says: "We've. always run DAFs, so this is our first Volvo and we've had no complaints so far.
