The Dublin-based Irish Road Haulage Association has taken steps to modernise its organisation.
These include moving to larger premises where it can offer training courses such as the Driver CPC, digital tachographs and Safepass
a qualification for drivers in the construction industry. It has slimmed down its annual spring conference from three to two days on alternate years and introduced a disciplinary code to deal with any members who bring the association into disrepute.
