Haulier wound up after vehicles are recalled
HAULAGE FIRM John Toulson (Teesdale) has ceased trading as a consequence of contract-hire firms recalling its vehicles when administrators were called in.
Tait Walker was appointed as administrators last month after HM Revenue & Customs issued a winding-up petition for an unpaid tax bill believed to be around E200,000.
Administrator Andrew Little kept the company running for two weeks until he was informed by the contract-hire firms that the trucks had to he returned.
Since this has happened, all 10 staff have been made redundant, and the company has ceased trading.
