• Gemini Elettronica is developing an alarm system which will page a driver if his truck is broken into. The Worcester-based firm hopes to have the 24-volt device available by the end of the year.
It already has a model for vans with 12-volt power supplies which costs around £ 255 (ex-VC). It is wired into the ignition and operates when the driver is up to 2km away from the vehicle, by bleeping when the system detects movement.
