• In a decision that sets the limits of cabotage, European Community judges have banned a German company from using a Dutch haulier for domestic work in Germany at advantageous Dutch rates.
The German haulage market is still protected by tariffs: Pinaud Wieger claimed that its inability to use a cheaper Dutch haulier was a breach of EC rules on freedom to provide services.
