• Operators have a new source of advice on updating their businesses with the launch of the Modernisation Operator Scheme.
After months of talks with hauliers, the Freight Transport and Road Haulage Associations have recommended to government that the E2m scheme should be given the go-ahead.
Mick Jackson, the FTA's head of logistics, says the trial highlighted the fact that many operators are so wrapped up In running their operations that they don't get the chance to look at modernisation: "We suggest operators receive a visit from a business advisor."
