• Transport contractors Charles Poulter Ltd, whose registered office is at 338, The Highway, London El, could no longer oppose the perfeCting of a winding-up order made against it on January 18, its counsel said in the High Court on Monday.
On February 1 Mr Justice Brightman had stayed the order for a fortnight on being told that the company anticipated being able to raise sufficient money to pay the petitioning creditors, Anglo-Israel Bank Ltd, in full (CM February 5).
The bank had a judgment debt of £174,970, of which £140,000 was still outstanding.
Mr Allan Heyman, QC, for the company, told the judge on Monday that the company Must abide by its undertaking not further to oppose the perfecting of the order because it had been unable to pay the bank's debt and costs.
