• Maintenance problems led to • two vehicles being suspended for two months from the 13vehicle licence held by RF Shipping & Transport of Rotherham when the firm appeared before North Eastern IC Keith Waterworth at a Leeds disciplinary inquiry.
Fresh licence
• A Wednesbury company whose licence was revoked when it failed to appear at a Birmingham disciplinary inquiry has been granted a fresh three-vehicle licence. West Midland TC John Mervyn Pugh heard that there had been confusion over notifying the Traffic Area of a change of address by plastics company Hellmich (UK).
Pulling out
• Heywood, Greater Manchester-based Keith Crampton, trading as CK Haulage & Distribution, sent his 0-licence documents to the North Western Traffic Area Office the day before he was due to appear at a Leeds disciplinary inquiry because of concern over his maintenance records. Crampton said he planned to leave the industry.
Formal warning
• 'Cliough taking no action against the licence held by Duns, Borders-based RH Pearson & Sons, Scottish IC Michael Betts issued a formal warning about maintenance when the firm appeared before him at an Edinburgh disciplinary inquiry.
