thrilled to learn of the opening of the Corgi
Miniature Motor Museum in Oxford. It will house hundreds of classic miniatures ranging from the 1950s to the present day. The fellow behind the museum's conception is John Farries, managing director of Automodels in Oxford's Golden Cross (pictured, left, with Corgi UK sales director Ccilin Summerbell). As well as the cars, lorries and buses on display, there will be prototype models used by Corgi in the development of new ranges. "A miniature motor museum for a city synonymous with car manufacture seemed a perfect fit,' says Farries. The lad's not wrong.
