The High Wycombe-based industrial waste management company ceased trading at the end of last year owing money to around 100 unsecured creditors, including hauliers.
Accountant Levy Gee, which held a creditors' meeting on Tuesday, estimates the creditors are owed at least £250,000.
1WC claims it is owed £ 500,000 by north London's waste disposal authority after the authority turned away 58 loads of waste carried by IWC to an Edmonton disposal site. But London Waste, formerly known as the North London Waste Authority, is contesting claims made against it.
Unsecured creditors include Croydon-based DJ Haulage; Mitcham, Surrey-based GDT International Transport; Snodland, Kent-based JA Trucking; L Cook Transport of Bromley Common, Kent; Wanlip, Leicsbased RB Transport, and Skeletons Haulage of Coventry.
