Truck crime is a major problem for commercial vehicle operators nationwide. While it's difficult to get an accurate figure in terms of overall financial losses, according to recently published material From the Home Office it could be costing
the industry as much as 21 billion a year. Home Office figures also estimate the number of crimes against commercial vehicles during 1993 was approximately 40,000. Last year is unlikely to show any improvement.
