THE 10 UNSUNG HEROES (CM 15 December 2011) featured some superior motors. Two of these (ERF C-Series and Volvo F10) were used at County Dairies, where I drove in the 80s, and both were a good drive.
And Steyr hasn’t disappeared. They are manufactured in China by China National Heavy Truck in Shandong. The wedged front panel remains, but the truck has been modernised with a more rounded front light cluster and a Chinese name: Steyr-Wang (King Steyr). William Leigh-Pemberton Shanghai, China
