INCREASED efficiency and contributions from an American subsidiary helped lift the Transport Development Group's road haulage profits last year by E2m.
They rose from £9.63m to £11.61m, thanks in part to a full contribution from Willig Freight, the USA subsidiary. The group's overall profits rose from £15.17m to £18.33m.
Storage profits were £8.31m (1981: £6.63m), plant hire and other transport E1:17m (1981: £1.14m), and reinforcement and exhibitions were £2.48m (1981: £874,000).
The total dividend declared for 1982 was 4.45p per share.
