Commercial vehicle supplier Greenhous Leyland Daf has been working with the Bristol college to create a new breed of technician for the next century. Studying the latest mechan ical and electronic systems, the apprentices learn how to use electronic fault analysis—they are able to practice repairs using
computer simulated models. IMO
right with fellow apprentice John liiPlflifl6 Urn_ Matthew Spillsbury, pictured Hall, says: "The course has given me a lot of confidence because you get to practice on trucks using the newest technology; something you wouldn't otherwise get to do until qualified." With hi-tech lads like Matthew and John it looks like the future is guaranteed to be a smooth ride.
