• The company secretary and at least 10 other staff employed by Taunton, Somerset-based refrigerated operator I...angdons Industries are to appear in court next month charged with drivers hours-related offences.
The charges mainly relate to drivers failing to take their daily rest periods and not marking record sheets properly.
Langdon Industries company secretary and accountant David Every-Clayton is also charged with permitting these drivers to break their daily rest periods and failing to ensure they correctly marked their record sheets.
All of the charged are based at Langdon's Taunton premises and will appear on 1 June at West Wiltshire Magistrates Court.
l,angdon's sales director Rob Swindells, against whom there are no allegations, is the president of trade association Transfrigoroute.
