. Cummins continues to deny rumours that the 10-litre L10 engine will be stretched to 11.3 or 11.7 litres, but sources in the US indicate that such an engine will be launched in 1994. The latest Euro-1 version of the L10, the L350E, is rated at 261kW (350hp) with CELECT.
A further power increase is due next March with the US launch of the CELECT-equipped L365E: Freightliner and Kenworth will offer the L365E in Australia in advance of the US launch but Cummins says the 365 will not join its UK line-up in the near future.
