• Wheelbase Engineering has built four special drumtransporter trailers for supplying chlorine to ICI's customers in the UK and Southern Ireland.
The 12.2m trailers, two for Pandora and two for BRS, have open steel-frame floors with individual cradles to carry 14 drums. Screw clamps secure the drums, and Armco-type guard rails are built into the four drop-sides, tail and headboard to protect the load.
Each side-panel has a sturdy counter-balance to restrain its movement when lowered. With Twin RO-R axles and steel suspension for 3+2 operation at 38 tonnes GCW, the trailers tare out at 7,080kg.
