IIII Contract Hire (Commercial Vehicles) has built a Centurion recovery truck at its Vale Lane, Bristol workshop from a kit supplied by Brimec (UK).
The wrecker is based on a
Leyland Daf 17,28 Roadtrain with Cummins NTE290 engine and Spicer SST10 10-speed gearbox. The wheelbase has been extended to 5.0m and a lifting Granning ST pusher axle and air suspension are
incorporated.
The Centurion will be used on national recovery schemes as well as CH's own contract-hire fleet.
