• Ballyvesey Holdings has invested £750,000 in new shot blasting facilities and a reefer production line at Craven Tasker's Sheffield factory.
The first trailers off the new line are a batch of 10 GRP panelled tri-axle reefer units for BRS Trailer Rental. All are built to 12.2m lengths for carrying 24 pallets or hanging carcasses from five rows of meat rails.
Tasker's sister company, Montracon, has won an order for 23 two and three-axled semi-trailers with Kurtrans curtainsider bodies from Beck Pollitzer.
RO-R axles and suspensions are used, with Grau Girling Skidchek and Anchorlok spring brakes.
Eight of them will work on a Wiggins Teape contract from Erith. Kent; the rest will join B&P's main Network fleet. The curtainsiders are 4.0m high and will carry 24 pallets apiece.
