• Erith-based Len Shields has been appointed UK agent for Kassbohrer tankers and has taken the first five twin-hopper powder tanks built for the UK market to service its Bison Cement contract.
Running on BPW tri-axles with Kassbohrer air suspension, the non-tipping 33m3 aluminium tankers discharge via Hammond's latest high-pressure blower. They tare out at 4.4 tonnes and will be pulled by a batch c the latest 1729 Mercedes Powerliners to give payloads of over 26 tonnes.
