• With an order for containers running into the third quarter of next year, Graaf, West German suppliei of metal-faced high density foam panels, has increased its output of ISO reefer containers to 225 a week.
Production of its truck and demountable bodywork has been suspended to accommodate the move, and output of the 12m x 2.5m Isometal panels, from which the ISO units are built, has also risen, to over 1,000 a week.
UK users such as Tidd, S Cartwright and Locomotors, are supplied via Edmunds Supplies of Sudbury. Graaf panels and containers are buil under licence by Hyundai in Korea, and by Great Dane in the USA. Graaf is also building a 'turnkey' plant in the USSR.
