THE next EEC Council of Transport Ministers is expected to discuss proposals by the German Transport Minister to transfer certain international freight traffic from road to rail.
Transport Minister William Rodgers said in a written Commons answer to Tom Bradley (Leicester East) that he hoped the meeting would be an opportunity for full discussion of the points made by Herr Gescheidle, The German Minister's views were set out in a letter to other EEC Transport Ministers in December.
