SUTTON International Freight Terminal has been approved as an official office of departure and destination for goods moving within the EEC.
The depot, at Sutton in As.hfield, is already a customs approved inland clearance depot and has been primarily concerned with import clearance until now.
Under the new arrangement, vehicles leaving for EEC destinations will be sealed before leaving the Sutton depot by the customs.
Paper work will be dealt with at the terminal.
