JK PALLETS has joined United Pallet Network (LPN) to replace Scottish firm Gilmour Brothers, which has left the pallet network to focus on its truck sales business.
Belshill, Lanarks-based JK Pallets will now cover the Edinburgh. Falkirk, Kirkcaldy and Motherwell postcodes, which were previously managed by Lesmahagow, Lanarks firm Gilmour Brothers.
UPN director Dave Brown says: -We believe we can develop a long-term partnership with JK Pallets; it is a professional delivery outfit and has the capability to really grow sales and volumes."
A spokesman for Gilmour Brothers says: "We think pallet networks are a good thing and being part of UPN was a real benefit to us.
"However, we are too busy with our LCV sales arm, which is really growing. so have decided to concentrate on that, but we have not ruled out joining the pallet network market again in the future."
